Hey, hi, hello friends — welcome back! 💌

Today we’re diving into one of the biggest questions Christian girls ask: How do I know what God wants for me? Maybe you’ve wondered things like: Am I really following His will? What if I make the wrong decision? How can I be sure I’m on the right path?

If you’ve ever felt that way, you’re not alone. The good news is — God isn’t playing hide and seek with His will. He actually wants us to know Him and walk closely with Him. So let’s talk about what that looks like.

God’s Ultimate Will Is for Us to Know Him

First things first: God’s biggest desire for your life isn’t a specific job, school, or relationship. His will is for you to know Him, love Him, and become more like Jesus. When you focus on that, the details of your life begin to fall into place in His timing.

So instead of getting stuck in fear — “what if I miss His will?” — you can rest in the truth that walking with Him day by day is the main thing He cares about.

Questions to Ask When You’re Unsure

Here are a few practical things to keep in mind when you’re facing a decision and want to know what God wants for you:

1. Does this go against the Bible in any way?

God’s Word is the foundation. He won’t call you to do something that goes against what He’s already said in Scripture. So spend time in His Word, letting it shape your decisions.

2. Is this something I actually want to do?

Romans 12:6-8 talks about the unique gifts God has given each of us. Sometimes, the desires in your heart line up with the way He created you. Don’t ignore those! God often leads us through our passions and gifts.

3. Have I prayed about it?

This may sound simple, but it’s easy to rush into decisions without actually pausing to talk to God. Prayer isn’t just asking Him for answers — it’s about spending time with Him, letting His peace guide you.

4. Have I asked for godly counsel?

Sometimes the people around us see things more clearly than we do. Talk to a mentor, pastor, or a trusted friend who loves Jesus. Proverbs reminds us that wise counsel brings safety.

5. What’s happening around me?

Pay attention to the opportunities (and closed doors) God is placing in your life. He often leads through circumstances, even when it doesn’t look the way we expected.

6. Am I trusting God for the outcome?

At the end of the day, God isn’t asking you to have it all figured out. He’s asking you to trust Him. Even if you don’t know exactly how things will turn out, you can move forward with peace when you know He’s in control.

Final Thoughts

Knowing God’s will doesn’t have to feel like guessing in the dark. Start with what you do know — His Word, His presence, His love for you — and then take the next step with faith.

Remember, God’s not waiting for you to “mess up.” He’s a loving Father who walks with you, redirects you, and gently guides you closer to Him.

So the next time you’re wondering, “Am I doing the right thing?” — take a deep breath. Ask Him. Seek counsel. Trust His Word. And know that He’s more concerned with your heart than your perfect choices.

You don’t have to figure it all out. You just have to follow Him. 💛
